Two officers involved in funeral procession accident released from hospital

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII-NEWS) - Two Corpus Christi police officers involved in funeral procession accident Wednesday afternoon were released from hospital yesterday. The officers are said to be in good condition according to police.

The accidents happened Wednesday afternoon. Police say the first accident happened at Greenwood drive and Easley street around 1:00 pm. The first accident involved a Corpus Christi police officer on a motorcycle and a red vehicle.

After hearing an "officer down" call, another CCPD officer headed towards the direction of that accident, driving his SUV, when it collided with another CCPD motorcycle at Morgan and Port avenue.
