CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Another person accused in the 2016 murder of Breanna Wood appeared in court Thursday and entered a plea of not guilty.
Vasquez is one of three people charged with capital murder in relation to the crime, along with Joseph Tejeda and Christopher Gonzalez.
Wood's body was found buried in a wooden box in rural Nueces County. She was said to have been beaten and then fatally shot. Tejeda was arrested for the crime and has been in jail awaiting trial, but since then several other suspects have been arrested and charged for their alleged involvement in the crime.
Vasquez faces charges of capital murder, engaging in organized criminal activity and aggravated robbery. She and Tejeda will also both be facing the death penalty.
No trial date has been set for Vasquez.
