Man Arrested for Possession After Rollover Accident

Department of Public Safety troopers made a startling discovery after arriving at the scene of a rollover accident just before 9:30 a.m. on Way Out Weber.

"The driver fell asleep. Was fatigued at the wheel," DPS Trooper James Burdett said. "He veered to the grassy shoulder, to the other side. When he woke up, he turned hard to the right and ended up flipping one time in this field right here."

Troopers said that, after making sure the driver was okay, they found a controlled substance inside of his wallet. The man was cited for not having his driver's license and driving without proof of insurance, along with possession.

The driver was taken to the Nueces County Jail and his truck was impounded.
