Man Gets Recognition for His Late Grandfather, a WWII Veteran

It took one young man 14 years to do it, but he finally got official recognition for his late grandfather, a hero of World War II.

Rolando Ybarra Villarreal, Jr., has been working to get the government to recognize and honor his late grandfather, who was wounded in battle in France during WWII. Rolando didn't know his grandfather, who died from natural causes almost 40 years ago, but that didn't stop him from trying to find out who he was.

Kiii News Reporter Brian Burns looked into the young man's story and came back with the details.
