Man Killed in Tractor-Trailer Rollover in Brooks County

A man was killed Wednesday morning after the tractor-trailer he was driving down Highway 281 in Brooks County crashed and landed on top of him.

It was about 5:30 a.m. when 42-year old Harry Louis Jefferson of Manor, Texas, was driving the tractor-trailer and swerved off the road. He tried to regain control of the truck, but ended up skidding off road and rolling over, landing on its left side.

Jefferson was partially ejected from the truck as it rolled over, and that is when the trailer landed on top of him.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident. It has not yet been confirmed whether or not Jefferson had fallen asleep at the wheel.
