Man Pronounced Dead After Accident in Live Oak County

A 32-year old Corpus Christi man was killed in an accident Sunday night in Live Oak County, according to Department of Public Safety troopers.

Troopers said that 32-year old John Skinner was traveling eastbound on Highway 72 and veered into oncoming traffic before driving off the roadway. The truck went through a couple of fences and landed in a field.

Skinner was transported to Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital just before 10 p.m., where he was pronounced dead. Investigators are still trying to determine why he drove into the oncoming lanes of traffic.
