Moody High School Hosts Engineering Olympics

Some of the brightest minds at Moody High School were put to the test Friday in their very own Olympic-style competition.

The Innovation Academy at Moody held their annual Engineering Olympics.

As reported, this week happens to be National Engineering Week. The teachers at Moody said this kind of event can ultimately make their students more competitive in the real world.

"The main thing is that we want to give them that solid foundation for problem solving," said Tina Dellengar, dean of STEM Instruction at Moody High School.

Educators said the projects that students worked on should help them in finding good jobs once they graduate from college.
