An explosion of creativity on display at the American Bank Center Saturday.
"We got these rusted, tossed out by dealerships, took them in fixed them painted them up making them real nice."
These students from Midland Texas were showing off their blue ribbons for their diesel technology project.
More than 6,000 students in all from across the state are taking part in Skills USA. The program is a national partnership that puts these various projects on display each year.
"It's a great way for students to show projects some over a year, great way for them to showcase that but compete."
This year's event is estimated to bring more than $2.2 million in economic impact to the city.
