Motorcyclist Clings to Life After Major Accident this Weekend

A 61-year old motorcyclist who police say was struck by a car on SPID at Everhart is still in the hospital clinging to life.

The accident happened Saturday morning. Police say a black car slammed into the motorcycle, driven by Juan Villarreal, and the impact was so hard that it actually ripped the car door right off. Investigators say the driver then took off on foot, leaving a female passenger behind.
"The female that stayed at the scene was not charged with anything," said Senior Officer Kirk Stowers of the Corpus Christi Police Department. "The man that fled, traffic investigators are looking for him.
