Murder Suspect Tommy Caughman Waives Right to Extradition Hearing

Tommy Caughman, the man accused of murdering a Bishop librarian, has waived his right to have an extradition hearing, removing a major hurdle in getting him back to South Texas.

Nueces County Sheriff Jim Kaelin said they are working on securing transportation up to Cheyenne, Wyo., where Caughman was arrested, to pick him up.

Caughman was arrested Wednesday. It was Jan. 15 when he fled Bishop, where the body of his sister-in-law, 42-year old Elizabeth Caughman, was found.
