Missing Boy Scout Found

Richard Longoria

McGRADY, N.C. (AP) - The parents of a missing 12-year-old Boy
Scout are heading to a site near the camp where their son
disappeared over the weekend.
Kent Auberry and his wife are accompanied by an incident
commander with the National Park Service. Searchers have radioed
the command post to report finding the boy alive.
Earlier, the boy's father, Kent Auberry, expressed confidence in
the rescue teams' ability to find his son in the damp, cool
mountains of western North Carolina.
Michael Auberry vanished after lunch with his fellow Scouts and
troop leaders. His father says the adults and other boys on the
trip told him Michael had slept late but nothing appeared out of
the ordinary.
