BEIJING (AP) - Researchers at a giant panda reserve in southern
China are looking for help in turning panda poop into paper.

One researcher says the idea came about after a visit to
Thailand, where the researchers found paper was being made from
elephant poop. He says he thought the fiber-rich panda poop would
produce an even finer quality paper.

The center's 40 pandas produce about two tons of droppings a
day, but researchers aren't sure how much paper that would produce.

Researcher say they hope to have a product line available next
year.
