Now to an unbelievable story out of Maryland - the owner of a two year old golden retriever says her dog saved her life by performing the Heimlich maneuver.
45 year old Debbie Parkhurst says she began choking on an apple when her dog, Toby, came to the rescue. Debbie tried to perform the Heimlich maneuver on herself, but it didn't work.
Suddenly, 2-year-old Toby pulled her to the ground and, she says, the dog started jumping on her chest and until the apple came out.
Debbie Parkhurst says "I want people to learn how to do the Heimlich maneuver, and I want 'em to adopt dogs like him look at this - nobody wanted him and now look."
Toby was rescued from a dumpster 2 years ago. Debbie adopted him a short time later.
