NATANZ, Iran (AP) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says his country has "joined the nuclear club of nations."

The country's top nuclear negotiator says Iran has begunn enriching uranium using three-thousand centrifuges. Iran had set that as its goal.

Iran's president says his country is now capable of producing nuclear fuel on an "industrial scale," expanding its uranium enrichment program despite U-N demands to end it.

Ahmadinejad's announcement comes as Iran celebrates its first success in enriching small amounts of uranium at its enrichment facility in central Iran.
