New Charges for Man Involved in Shootout with Corpus Christi Police

A man already in jail for attempted capital murder after a shootout with police earlier this year is back in trouble with the law.

22-year old Travis Magill was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted capital murder and vehicle theft after shooting and wounding two Corpus Christi police officers in March near the Corpus Christi Country Club.

Magill is now facing an additional charge of assault on a public servant after he allegedly threw a hot cup of coffee at a correctional officer at the Nueces County Jail last Friday.
