You can see Katy Kiser weekdays on 3 NEWS at five with co-anchor Rudy Trevino and Bill Vessey. After graduating high school in her home town of Dallas, this native Texan earned her Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. Katy also studied abroad at Oxford University in England where she studied Political Science.

Katy began her broadcasting career as a teleprompter and studio camera operator in Jefferson City, Missouri. After gaining television production experience, she then pursued her on-air career, accepting a reporting position in Odessa, Texas, which soon led her to a reporter/anchor position in Tallahassee, Florida, where she covered the 2000 Presidential Election from the Florida State Capitol. Now a seasoned reporter with anchoring experience, Katy wanted to return home to Texas, and with family members in Portland, an opportunity in Corpus Christi caught her eye. "I talked to my uncle Phil, and he said Channel 3 was the best station in town, so I went for it."

Katy has been a part of the Channel 3 family since January 2001 and is very dedicated to her family, her community and her job. "I'm from Texas and love South Texas. I've made it my home. I sincerely enjoy what I do and can't imagine doing anything else." Katy is a Best Of The Best winner, a graduate of the Corpus Christi Citizen Police Academy, was an active member of the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women campaign and has flown with the Blue Angels.

In her spare time, Katy loves to go to the beach, spend time with her husband Dale and their dog Angelou. send message
