Erik Rosales - Anchor
Erik is an award winning journalist with more than 14 years of reporting, and anchoring television news. In 2003, Erik was honored with an Emmy Award for his live coverage of an officer involved shooting. He's also received several Radio and Television News Director Association Awards, as well as a number of Associated Press Awards. Prior to joining KIII, Rosales worked as a reporter/fill-in anchor in San Francisco's ABC7 affiliate. Prior to that, he worked as an anchor/reporter for a television news station in Fresno, California. Rosales is committed to community activities and has received recognition for outstanding media involvement for several organizations. While in the Bay Area and in Fresno, Rosales volunteered his time with the Fresno Police Activities League, and also sat on several boards. He plans to continue his work with at-risk kids in the Coastal Bend. Originally from the San Gabriel Valley, he spent time in Beeville, Texas with family and eventually graduated from Azusa Pacific University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Rosales enjoys playing baseball in his spare time with the National Adult Baseball Association. He played the game in college, where his team placed third in the nation at the NAIA College World Series. He also enjoys hitting the links. Rosales and his wife DeAnna are the proud owners of two adorable dogs, Harley and Mya. |
