You can find Alan Harwell, and his sportscast, on Three News Weekends, and with Dan McReynolds during high school football season on KIIITV3’s Friday Night Sports Blitz. When Alan is not covering sports, you can find him on the golf course, supporting his beloved Dallas Cowboys, traveling and spending time with his family.

Born in Weatherford, Texas, Alan moved from Houston to Corpus Christi while in the 6th grade  Although Alan moved briefly to Victoria, Longview / Tyler, Texas and Youngstown, Ohio for broadcasting jobs, he calls Corpus Christi home and has spent most of his life here in South Texas.

Alan began his broadcast career as a newscast announcer for KRYS Radio when he was just a junior at Carroll High School. He began on the air with KIIITV3 covering weekend sports when he was a senior. After graduating from Carroll High School in 1979, Alan continued as weekend sportscaster for KIIITV3, attending Del Mar College and later graduating from Texas A&I University in Kingsville with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education.

Alan has been married to his wife Lisa, who is an Odem native, for 14 years. They have 2 sons and one daughter, Jordan, 13, George, 12 and Alyssa, 5.  They are proud members of Second Baptist Church in Corpus Christi.  Alan is an active board member of El Socorro, volunteers at Luther Jones Elementary and has been with KIIITV3 for a total of 25 years. send message
