Nine Families Become Whole on Adoption Day

Thursday was adoption day for 15 children who were in need of a family to call their own. New parents took an oath to open their doors and their hearts by providing a forever home.

One by one, each family was granted their adoptions. The ceremony happened in the courtroom of Judge Brent Chesney, marking an end to a year-long process for adoptive parents.

"It's just a wonderful feeling to be a father for the first time," said Jesse and Courtney Turnland, who adopted baby Ethan. "This is our first child, and we are going to consider him being our first born."
