No Citations Issued After Truck Crashes Into Westside Restaurant

Police are now estimating about $15,000 in damage at the El Rinconsito Restaurant in the 400 block of Prescott as a result of a truck crashing into the building on Tuesday.

Despite the damages, the restaurant remained open for business immediately after the accident.

Officers said a 75-year old woman was attempting to park when she mistook the accelerator for the brakes, causing her to crash into the westside taqueria. She was not hurt, nor were any customers inside the restaurant at the time.

Police said no citations will be issued.
