There was lots of excitement at opening day at the CITGO Miracle League Ball Field Saturday.
The Miracle League of Corpus Christi is a non-profit organization which gives opportunities for children and adults with mental and physical disabilities to play baseball and other sports.
Evan Duran, who is a Miracle League coordinator told 3 News, "we want everybody to play sports and we also team with the YMCA. Anybody can play with us. We're here to serve the community and just to have fun, and we had a blast today."
The Organization is also promoting the need for athletic fields like this one at 1354 Airport Road to meet the special needs of miracle league players and their families.
