Parents of Jordan Arredondo Offer Thanks to Community

The parents of seven-year old Jordan Arredondo, who died after the TV fell on him at a daycare center, visited the Kiii-TV studios to say thanks to the community.

"We want to thank everybody for everything that they have done for my son Jordan," said Ruby Arredondo, Jordan's mother. "From Driscoll, doctors and nurses, they were very -- they treated him awesomely. Family. Friends. The community."

It was during Spring Break when a television fell on top of Jordan. He was rushed to the hospital but later died from his injuries. A number of benefits were held to raise money to help pay for his medical expenses and funeral; but as far as the circumstances surrounding Jordan's death, the family says they've been told little.

3News asked if a lawsuit would have to be filed in this case.

"If it come down to it, then you know, we'll have to," said Edmond Nation, Jordan's stepfather. "Mainly to make sure this never happens to another child."

Jordan was an organ donor, and his family said that fact has helped them try to get through this most difficult of times.
