Pet Peacock Missing from Santa Fe Neighborhood

Pancho, a peacock, has been missing from its Santa Fe neighborhood for a little over a week and a half, and his owner is concerned.

Kiii 3 News first introduced viewers to the neighborhood pet back on July 5, when neighbors called the colorful bird a delight to have around.

Its owner, Kimberly Brieger, said she hasn't seen or heard from Pancho, and is worried someone might have taken it, because Pancho was the target of an apparent pet-napping once before.

"I caught three people across the street chasing him and trying to capture him in my neighbors yard," Brieger said.

Brieger said the peacock was a gift from her husband for their 24th anniversary, so it has a great deal of significance.
