PETA Calls for Texas State Aquarium to Feature Robotic Fish

In light of the recent fish poisoning incident at the Texas State Aquarium, the organization PETA has called for the nonprofit to restock their tanks with robotic fish.

Officials at the Texas State Aquarium sent a response Thursday, declining their offer.

CEO Tom Schmid said in a statement "We've received PETA's offer, but we are going to politely decline and hope they will reconsider redirecting their contribution to P.A.L.S. Animal Shelter. We believe there is tremendous value in showcasing living fish, so we plan to continue to do that in order to educate and fascinate the 500,000 guests that visit us each year as we strive to fulfill our mission of connecting people with nature and inspiring conservation of the Gulf of Mexico."
