Pink Flags at Corpus Christi Marina for Breast Cancer Awareness

The Corpus Christi Marina is "pinked out" this month, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness.

You may have noticed more than 500 pink flags lining the Bayfront. They first went up on the first of this month, in an event inspired by Virginia Henderson, a Corpus Christi sailor and geologist who lost a brave struggle with breast cancer.

"It's a great feeling, to know that so many people care about breast cancer," said Ann Hennis of the Corpus Christi Yacht Club. "That care about a cause. That want to be involved as a community."

The flags will remain up through the end of the month.
