Point Guard Jordan Sets Pace For Young Islander Team

Corpus Christi (Kiii Sports) - The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's basketball team broke a two-month losing streak last weekend with a 62-56 road win at Lamar.

The game turned on the outstanding guard play of sophomore Johnathan Jordan, who tied a school record with 11 assists against the Cardinals. Jordan also scored 15 points to power the Islanders to their first Southland Conference win of the season.

The  victory could well be a turning point for a team that lists 10 sophomores and freshmen on its roster.
