Police Arrest Man Who Allegedly Ran Ex-Girlfriend Off the Road

Police have arrested the man accused of forcing his ex-girlfriend's vehicle off the road on the 600 block of Glazebrook Street Monday night.

It was around 7:40 p.m. when officers responded to the crash. A 29-year old female passenger told police that her ex-boyfriend, 27-year old Lionel Torres, had given chase and then swerved into her vehicle, causing her to run off road and strike a tree.

Torres had fled the scene, but police found him a short time later at another location and arrested him for aggravated assault. He was taken to the City Detention Center.

There were five passenger's in the woman's vehicle, including two adults and three children. A nine-year old girl sustained a laceration to her forehead, and all three children were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Police say they suffered non life-threatening injuries.
