Police Seek Suspects in Three Home Burglaries in Annaville

Corpus Christi police are looking for the people responsible for burglarizing three homes in a quiet Annaville neighborhood on Thursday.

The burglars took off with a lot of items, including $8,000 worth of diamonds.

One of the victimized homeowners, who wanted to remain anonymous, showed 3News the sliding glass door in the back of his house where the burglars broke in. He has since replaced the glass door, but said the burglars took everything from TVs to game systems, like the Playstation 3 and XBox 360. They also took four bottles of pills, alcohol, perfume, cologne, a purse and $150 in cash.

The man said more stuff may have been taken, but he is not sure.

The burglaries happened to a home on the 3900 block of Violet road, a home on the 3700 block of Violet Road and one home on the 11000 block of Mulholland Road. Residents say they have lived in the quiet neighborhood for decades and never had a problem like this.

"Oh, I'm quite upset," a burglary victim said. "Not for myself, but for my wife. It's pretty traumatic when someone comes in your home and ransacks your house and takes personal belongings that don't belong to them."

"Just to be on the safe side, I took my pistol out of the lockbox and set it out where my wife could get to it when I'm not here," neighbor Tom Dimbleby said. "And it is a big concern, and everybody's concerned, and we're all talking and we're all watching everybody's place a lot more diligently."

Police said the burglaries happened during the day.

A 64-year old woman told officers she came home and saw an unknown man walk out of her front door. The woman described the man as tall and thin, dressed in dark clothing and carrying a suitcase.

No arrests have been made, but if you have any information that could help police, please call Crime Stoppers at 361-888-8477.
