Police Seek Two Men in Relation to Car Wash Shooting

Police are searching for two men in relation to the city's fourth and latest homicide of the year.

On Monday night, police released surveillance video of the two men they believe may know something about the crime. The footage was recorded just outside of a car wash at the corner of 15th Street and Morgan, where the shooting took place.

According to police, it was just after midnight on Monday when 36-year old Juan Ramirez was shot several times at a local car wash near 15th Street and Morgan. Investigators found bullet casings, but no sign of the shooter.

Investigators spent Monday interviewing witnesses and gathering leads about the crime.

"All I heard was gun shots ring out. Four shots. Real loud shots," said the victim's friend. "He was one of my friends, so I started trying to help him, and do CPR before the cops got here."

Police said the two men they are looking for took off in a maroon four-door Pontiac Grand Am. If you have any information that could help police, please call Crime Stoppers at 361-888-8477.
