Some concern is growing over parts of Kostoryz --recently repaved-- being torn back up. Dan Biles, Director of Public Works, says inspectors discovered bad joints and connections at Kostoryz and McArdle. Biles says taxpayers will not have to pay for those repairs.
"Part of that is working with the contractor to make sure we get those inspections done earlier. He took a risk by paving the street prior to us approving that installation," said Biles. "There's some areas where he needs to go back in and make repairs to make sure that we get the infrastructure that we paid for."
Biles says most of the repairs are finished but some work remains.
