Red Cross Steps in After EF1 Tornado Strikes Southeast Alice

The National Weather Service says it was an EF1 tornado that struck southeast Alice Tuesday evening. Winds during the storm ranged from 86-110 miles per hour, causing lots of damage in that community.

Kiii News Reporter Mike DaSilva went Live from the Alice Public Training Safety Center where the American Red Cross has set up shop to help the community.

The intense storm that hit Alice not only left thousands without power and caused extensive damage in some area, but it also left many residents with some terrifying experiences. Kiii News Reporter Sarah Acosta spoke with some of those residents.
