Refugio Bobcat Charged with DWI No Longer Playing Baseball

Travis Quintanilla, star football and baseball player of the Refugio Bobcats, will no longer be playing baseball this season, according to Bobcats Coach Armando Huerta. The coach confirmed Thursday afternoon that "his season is over."

Quintanilla was arrested for DWI just after midnight Tuesday, the morning following his 19th birthday, and booked into the Refugio County Jail. He posted bond, which was set at $3,000, soon after.

Last week, Quintanilla pitched a no-hitter against the Natalia High School Mustangs. He has also broken several all-time Texas high school football records.
