Relay for Life Walk Being Called a Success

Several of you are resting your feet this weekend after walking around a track at Whataburger Field throughout the night for the event called Relay for Life.
While organizers are still adding up the money raised, they say that the event was extremely successful.
Over 70 teams made up of 900 people participated and raised a little more than $145,000 dollars.
That is about 10,000 more than the goal that was set.
Each team had a member walk the track at all times through out the night.
The event honors those who have died battling cancer and encourages those who are still continuing the fight.
