THIS IS A PRESS RELEASE FROM THE FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, CORPUS CHRISTI:

Members of the Corpus Christi First United Methodist Church youth choir, For Your Inspiration, met with President George W. Bush in the Rose Garden at the White House this morning and had their picture taken with the President.

The group is on tour in Washington, D.C. this week to participate in the Nation's Capitol Festival of Youth Choirs sponsored by YouthCUE. The five-day Festival culminates in a Grand Concert at the National Cathedral with the singers accompanied by members of the National Symphony.

In addition to Festival rehearsals and activities and their visit with the President, the First United Methodist youth will be performing at several other locations in Washington. They also have toured the sights in the nation's capitol, visited the Capitol Building, taken in the parts of the Smithsonian, and will be attending the Washington v. Baltimore baseball game.
