It's the middle of summer, but it's never to early to start planning for the first day of school.

These 120 kids and adults have come down from Springfield, Missouri to share their Christian ministry with area schools, churches and the Women's Shelter. They're giving out 100 backpacks filled with goodies to help families who can't afford to buy school supplies. The group, is made up of different churches from Missouri and Texas and have been here for a week and the volunteers say they wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

This is the third time the group has come to Corpus Christi.
