Church Sign Defaced with Swastika, Racial Slur

KIIITV News

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - The pastor of a church in Inman, South Carolina, says he's willing to forgive the vandals who spray-painted a swastika and racial slur on a sign outside his church.

Multiple media outlets report that members of Ridgeville Baptist Church found the vandalism when they arrived for services Sunday morning.

Spartanburg County deputies are investigating the incident. The Rev. Amos Durham told them he's been having problems with young people who hang out in the church parking lot.

Durham says he and his congregation have talked about praying for the vandals and will respond to hatred with love.
