San Antonio Man Arrested Following High Speed Chase in Jim Wells County

     A San Antonio man is arrested after he takes officers on a high speed chase in Jim Wells County.  Pictures of the arrest were sent to 3 News by a viewer.
     It happened Saturday morning around 8 am outside of Alice along Highway 281.
     This all started after a DPS trooper tried to pull over a pickup truck.  Speeds hit 95 miles per hour.  The truck eventually approached George West and Live Oak County deputies were forced to shoot out the tires on the truck.  
     The driver eventually pulled over, and inside the truck, police discovered 11 illegal immigrants inside.  The driver was from San Antonio and that's where authorities say they were all headed.
     The driver, 20 year old John David Maciel is in the Jim Wells County Jail facing several charges.  The immigrants were taken by border patrol.
