Service Dogs Spread Cheer at Local Nursing Home

A group of service dogs were taken to a local nursing home Friday to help spread cheer to the residents there.

The dogs were taken to Wooldridge Place Nursing Home, and were dressed up in fancy Easter hats and more. All of the dogs are rescues, and have gone through hours of training to become pet therapy dogs.

Organizers of the event said the dog visits are the highlight of their activity calendar. A two-man band capped off the Easter event. They even had an Easter egg hunt in the dining room.
