Several RV's and Boats Destroyed in Massive Blaze

Fire officials say the massive blaze at Weber Creek Storage could be smoldering for days. The fire began right around 1:30 Saturday afternoon sending thick black smoke into the air. It happened at an RV and boat storage facility that is located on the 7600 block of Weber. It took fire fighters close to two hours to finally control the blaze. Several motor homes were destroyed in the fire, some of which cost half a million dollars each. As the fire burned, several owners arrived to see if their property survived the flames. Jack Rohde who has a motor home at the facility said, "mine is on the far end I'm hoping its alright but it don't know. It doesn't look good from your picture." Fire departments from NAS, Annaville, and Flour Bluff all assisted Corpus Christi fire crews. The fire marshal is now investigating the cause.
