Slurp down all the succulent mollusks your stomach desires at the 35th Annual Oysterfest in Fulton this weekend.
For 35 years the festival has fully funded the Fulton Volunteer Fire Department, by raising an average of $300,000 annually.
Just three months ago the new Fulton Fire Station was complete. The funds raised at this years festival will go toward buying new equipment.
The festival starts at 5 p.m. Thursday, and there will be a big firework work show at 8 p.m.
Friday through Sunday the festival opens at 10 a.m. with carnival rides, contests, a trade show, live music and all the seafood you can eat.
