South Texas Lighthouse for the Blind Hosting Rubber Duck Round-Up

The South Texas Lighthouse for the Blind is hosting its Rubber Duck Round-Up event at Cole Park from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, where donations for a rubber duck race will benefit the non-profit.

Those proceeds will help keep the blind or visually impaired employed at the non-profits manufacturing facility.

"All the proceeds from the Rubber Duck Round-Up go to help us purchase more machinery and make it accommodating for people who are blind or visually impaired, so this helps us keep them employed," said Alana Manrow of the Lighthouse for the Blind.

The non-profit organization employs almost 200 blind or visually impaired people with manufacturing jobs.
