St. James Students Reenact Pilgrims' Voyage to America

The second-grade students of St. James Episcopal School dressed as pilgrims on Wednesday, and reenacted their voyage to America in 1620.

It was all part of their class project of what led up to Thanksgiving.

Students got to use props and a look-a-like Mayflower boat from the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History.
"Well the pilgrims gave thanks to their new world, instead of being ruled by the king in England," second-grade student Grace Barth said.

Wednesday's reenactment was the end of their study of the pilgrims, as the students head off for Thanksgiving break.
