Stripes Convenience Store Robbed at Knifepoint Overnight

Police were called to a Stripes convenience store at Carroll Lane and Staples just before 3:45 a.m. Tuesday after receiving reports of an armed robbery.

A store employee told police that a man with a hood over his head walked into the store brandishing a knife and demanded money. After getting cash, the man fled the store on foot, running into a neighborhood on Collins Street.

The suspect was described as a male, 20 years of age, standing five-foot seven and weighing around 150 pounds.
