Surveillance Footage Leads Police to Two Shoplifting Suspects

Surveillance cameras proved to be a vital tool in helping to catch two suspected thieves on Tuesday.

Police were called out to the 5400 block of McArdle just before 3 p.m., where a business owner spotted Belinda Beltran, 32, and Michael Ramirez, 33, allegedly taking more than $1,400 worth of silver.

The cameras provided a good description, and police already knew one of the suspects and went to their neighborhood. The two were spotted and pulled over.

Beltran was found to have prior convictions for theft and her charges were upgraded to a felony. Ramirez was charged as well for shoplifting.

The jewelry was returned to the retail store.
