Suspect Arrested in City's Latest Homicide

The suspect in the city's latest shooting homicide, which happened at a home in the 2200 block of Ruth Street, was arrested Monday after police say he turned himself in to the Nueces County Jail.

Police say 18-year old Jessie Salazar turned himself in at around 3 p.m. Monday. His bond was set at $250,000.

On Saturday, police had obtained a warrant for Salazar's arrest. Salazar is wanted for allegedly shooting and killing 29-year old Robert Lee Garcia. Garcia's body was found underneath a stairway by his nephew.
