If you were driving around town Saturday you might have seen a teenager riding a unicycle.
It may sound strange but 14-year-old David Martin was riding his unicycle for a good cause.
A few weeks back Martin sent letters to family, friends and church members asking for money to buy clothes and beds for Mission 911.
Sure enough the donations started poring in. At around 7:30 Saturday morning Martin started on his 15 mile journey. Martin rode from Ennis Joslin all the way to the American Bank Center.
Mattress Firm heard about his effort and they wanted to help by donating 15 mattresses to the shelter. He was able to raise more than two-thousand dollars. He hopes he can make this an annual event.
