Teens Help the Community by Participating in Sea City Work Camp

More than 200 teens are spending a week of their summer to help others as part of the 21st annual Sea City Work Camp.

The teens, along with more than 100 adults, are renovating some 15 Corpus Christi homes. Aside from giving up a week of their summer, the teen campers actually pay $175 for the privilege of re-roofing and painting homes in the hot South Texas sun.

Sea City Work Camp is a not for profit organization that began here in 1993. It's sponsored by the United Methodist Church, but they welcome participation from all denominations.
