Three Kingsville Girl Scouts Receive the Silver Award

Three girls from Kingsville received the highest honor the Girl Scouts hands out, all in recognition of their work in fixing up their school.

"We just wanted to do this, and it didn't matter that we were giving up our Thanksgiving week," girl scout Lexy Webb said.

Webb, Kate Remelius and Sarah Remelius all received the Silver Award, which recognizes a scout for working over 50 community service hours in order to better her world.

Among the improvements they made to Ricardo Middle School were pressure washing graffiti off walls, repainting sections of the school and putting up murals.
