Corpus Christi police executed a search warrant this morning. It turned up a bounty of what police believe to be stolen property. They tell us they were acting on a tip that computer equipment stolen in a recent burglary might be at a home on the 2500 block of Dunbar.
Furniture and used appliances littered the front yard. The Corpus Christi SWAT team was called to execute this morning a search warrant. According to police, the SWAT members were needed because the search warrant was considered a high risk, and extra enforcement was needed.
Police arrested 21 year old Jeremy Bosman. He's facing theft and drug charges. Police say they found about 2 pounds of marijuana inside the home. We saw adults pick up what looked to be juvenile from inside the home. The city's animal control took away one of the six dogs inside. The seized animal was unlicensed and authorities say the residents didn't want it.
After police cleared scene we attempted to talk to some of the people inside the home. A woman came outside, using expletives, asked us to leave. We did. She also told us she would remember our faces and said, "You better watch out."
Later in the day, Corpus Christi Police Captain Robert Bridge spoke to us about the police search warrant. He says the amount of marijuana would indicate a person is likely dealing in the neighborhood.
"Very likely the lawn care equipment and power tools that were recovered, that possibly might be stolen is indicative of a person receiving stolen property in exchange of drugs," said Captain Bridge. "We are hoping to let the neighborhood know that we are diligent about solving crimes of whatever type they may be."
