that's what an attorney for Club Cheetah, Alan Yaffe, told us... in explaining why the topless club has just filed a civil lawsuit.

The targets of the suit are the parents of a 14-year-old kidnap victim... the alleged kidnapper, and Acting Police Chief Mike Walsh.

The topless club found itself in the middle of a scandal back in April when a 14 year old girl was allegedly kidnapped out of San Antonio, sexually assaulted by a man, who then according to police forced her to strip at the club
